i was thinking about neverafter and the charisma saving throws and since i recently watch the unsleeping city season 2, it reminded me of when kingston gives up his charisma in the ellis island fight against null. charisma is not just how you talk to other people- your charisma is your ego, the force of your personality, your sense of self and individuality. therefore when a character fails a charisma saving throw, it means their will was not strong enough in that moment. i think this lines up with the whole idea of memory and different reincarnations in the time loop theory, but i’m not totally sure what it implies in terms of the red beads. maybe something about losing hold of yourself- maybe even relating it to how stories change in the retelling and how the characters could lose their sense of self as time goes on? who knows
